How the Adjustable Architrave Works
A common issue our customers have on-site is when it is time to fit the internal doors on a project, the structural opening width has changed. This can be caused by the drylining or other changes on-site. Similarly, for retrofit projects, the structural opening is often irregular and makes door procurement and installation challenging.
We exist to simplify timber doorsets, which is why we invented the adjustable architrave system, which reduces the risk for costly changes after the fact.
What the Adjustable Architrave System Does
The adjustable architrave system gives you up to 20mm of adjustability between the thickness of the frame and the thickness of the wall. What this means is if there is a discrepancy between the wall thickness and the frame thickness, this difference can be removed by the adjustability inherent in the architraves.
How the Adjustable Architrave System Works
When the architraves arrive on-site, they will arrive pre-mitred with the dovetails pre-cut into both sides of the mitre. This enables customers to use the hoffman wedges to attach the architrave together, providing a seamless 45 degree mitre every time.
Once you are happy with the doorset installation, the architrave can be permanently fixed to the wall with your preferred method of fixing.
This is how the Modulo Architrave system simplifies timber doors, by simplifying procurement and installation for our customers. If you are a passive fire protection or retrofit company, the Modulo system means you do not have to replace doors like-for-like and can install Modulo timber doorsets for all your internal doors.
